You are a HR Advisor for PMHR. What does that mean in real terms? In essence, I’m here to provide HR advice and support to our clients and their teams. It’s actually far more than that though. I help businesses get the absolute best out of their people to facilitate a really happy working environment for the benefit of everyone involved.
Best bit of the job? It’s never boring. Each time the phone rings or an email comes in, you’re never quite sure what you are going to find!
The most memorable query you’ve ever had from a customer? It’s early days so springs to mind yet – but give it time…
What’s the way forward for HR in our digital age? Could the job ever be automated? Absolutely not – it’s all about people, not robots. You can have the best systems in the world, and indeed, we use some of them every day – but you can never replace the human touch with a system.
A little-known fact about yourself? I trained as a painter and decorator after leaving school. It’s a skill that comes in extremely handy!
What’s your super power? I’m extremely observant and intuitive- something that is incredibly useful both at work and at home.
