People Matters HR are a team of experts in outsourced HR. We work predominately in the SME market, supporting businesses based in Greater Manchester and the surrounding area.

Founded in 2011 by Niel Cope, an HR Director with 20 years experience to provide businesses, of all sizes, with a cost effective and superior outsourced HR solution. Entrepreneur

Our Entrepreneur package is ideal if you run a start up business or your business is in the early years. You may have your first employees or apprentices and just want support and guidance from trusted HR advisors to help you navigate the complicated minefield of being a new employer. This package provides you with contracts of employment for your staff and a really useful time saving HR system as well as access to the People Matters Team.

Established

Typically companies with 5 employees and over employees engage with our Established Business Package. You recognise that as your business is growing you need more support and structure for your company your people. For the fraction the cost of an in house HR administrator you get your own HR department. We provide a full framework of policies written for you, a staff handbook, job descriptions and we event personally write all your HR correspondence. Our team will meet with you on a regular basis to get to know you and your business and you can call us for HR advice any time and this is all supported by the BreatheHR software.

Exceptional

The Exceptional Business Package is for those businesses who have a growing need to ensure that everyone in the company is working together to achieve business objectives. Our MD works with your Directors to identify and write your People Management strategy and performance framework to ensure that everyone is working at peak performance, staff are engaged and leaders are fully trained to do their jobs properly. We also spend time in house on a regular basis delivering HR surgeries. Imagine your own HR Director and HR team, working in house with you but more cost effective than an HR administrator, it even come comes complete with self service HR software and is fully insurance backed by AXA!

Leadership Development and People Management Training

Leadership Development motivates and engages your leaders and their people, improves your culture and aids retention. We have years of experience working with senior members of organisations and people who have been promoted into more senior levels, because they are good at their existing jobs. Being a leader is a different role, with more responsibility and successful organisations develop their people into their new positions by giving them the tools to do their jobs. We run short courses designed to have minimal impact on the workplace, up skilling managers encouraging them time to think, share their views and explore practical leadership concepts issues in a safe environment. We develop their skills in managing people, within the law and best practice so that they are equipped to lead their staff professionally, with a better understanding of your HR policies and procedures.

In some circumstance’s employers need Occupational Health, whether that is during recruitment, screening for certain jobs or if you need medical advice to help you to support an employee who has an illness or a disability. People Matters will provide this service and support you with the issue ensuring that you are meeting your responsibilities as a good employer under the Health and Safety at Work Act and The Equalities Act.
